It all started when…

Winery owners Bev Burroughs and Jeff Jakus met via online dating at a Coronado, CA wine bar in 2008. Since then their wisdom and ability to navigate the worlds of technology, mortgage banking and real estate investing have resulted in an everlasting relationship of enjoying worldly pleasures.

Bev and Jeff base their everyday living on Family, Wisdom, Wellness, Good Luck and Prosperity. Pursuing these passions led us to 10 wonderful years on the island of Kauai; Hawaii’s Garden Island known for its tremendous healing properties. Hawaiian (and Figjam) folklore shares that if you belong, you will be accepted. If not, well, watch out!  

Over the years they have experienced wine making regions in Portugal’s Douro Valley, the Algarve region, Lisbon and Madeira; Italy’s Tuscany and Chianti; Mexico’s Guadalupe Valley and the USA regions of Napa Valley, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles, Temecula, Ramona, Solvang, Santa Ynez, Solvang, Lodi, Verde Valley and more!

Their life together is based on an unwavering foundation of principles and the results of hard-earned life lessons. We are proud to share our Aloha and a portion of our amazing life experiences through Bev’s original Hawaiian Island watercolors through Bev’s Artisan Series label art:

Figjam Estate Winery is committed and dedicated to helping those in need through our Wishes from Wine program, where we contribute a portion of our wine, art and swag revenue to well deserving causes that touch our hearts. We have a particular affinity toward organizations supporting our military. We are proud to be Americans and we are forever grateful to the sacrifices endured by the men and women who serve. As part of our give back strategy, we support and look forward to entering into the DOD SkillBridge program whereby service members are offered an opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprenticeships, or internships during the last 180 days of service. DOD SkillBridge connects transitioning service members with industry partners in real-world job experiences.
